Hold up an ideal, and look at it.
It's big. It's pure. It's perfect.
Reality is not perfect. In real life, all our ideals are bent, smudged, and worn.
Recognizing that is good. Intentionally undercutting the things we hold as dear is not good.
My blog is a collection of thoughts, essays, questions, and observations that still holds the idea of and ideal, while recognizing the need to compromise with reality. Compromising in practical terms, without compromising on the very ideals themselves.
We can never achieve perfection, but we can strive towards it.
